Overview

Parent-Teacher Meeting Scheduling Software

PTM Live is scheduling software built for exactly one recurring school workflow: parent-teacher meetings. A teacher publishes the times they're free, a parent books one in a single tap from a link that never changes, and a private video call opens automatically right on schedule — with WhatsApp and email reminders sent without anyone having to remember to send them. Starting at ₹499 per 30-day PTM round, per school, with a 7-day free trial.

How scheduling actually works

A teacher opens a date range and a daily window — say, Saturday 9 to 1 — and the system splits it into individual meeting slots automatically. Each parent gets a single bookmarkable link, tied specifically to their own child, that always shows their current booking status. There's no shared calendar to hunt through and no account to create — open the link, pick an open time, done. If a parent needs to reschedule, they use the same link; the teacher's slot list updates immediately.

A private video room, not a shared one

Every booking gets its own video room, generated fresh and never reused — one teacher, one parent, nobody else can wander in. The join button only becomes clickable a few minutes before the scheduled time, so there's no ambiguity about whether a meeting has started. This is deliberately narrower than a general-purpose video tool; see how this compares to Zoom and Microsoft Teams if your school already has one of those in place.

WhatsApp and email, together, automatically

Every booking confirmation, reminder, and cancellation notice goes out on both WhatsApp (through Meta's official Business Platform, not a personal number) and email, automatically, tied to the actual student record. See why WhatsApp specifically matters for Indian school communication for the fuller reasoning.

Bring your existing roster — don't re-type it

Import a class list directly from Excel, roll numbers included, and use auto-assign to fill any slot a parent hasn't self-booked, in roll-number order — a one-click way to make sure nobody gets missed. Full walkthrough: importing your roster and auto-assigning by roll number.

Group sessions, for whole-class announcements

Alongside 1:1 slots, a teacher can open a group video session — up to an hour, one shared link — for updates that apply to an entire class rather than one family at a time. See when to use a group session instead of individual PTM slots.

Priced by the round, not by the month

Parent-teacher meetings don't happen every month, so PTM Live isn't billed every month either — one flat fee per school covers a full 30-day PTM round, however many teachers and students the school has. Read what a PTM round is and how the pricing reasoning works.

Frequently asked

Is this a video-calling app, like Zoom or Teams?

No — see the full comparison at /ptm-live-vs-zoom-and-teams. PTM Live is the scheduling, reminder, and tracking layer built specifically around parent-teacher meetings; a private video room is included automatically per booking, but the product's job is everything around the call, not the call itself.

How is this priced?

One flat fee per school, per 30-day PTM round — not per teacher, not a monthly subscription. See what-is-a-ptm-round on the blog for the full reasoning.

Do parents need to install an app or create an account?

No. Each parent gets one link, tied to their child, that works in any phone browser. No app, no login, no password to remember.

Can we bring in our existing class list?

Yes — bulk Excel import with roll numbers, and a one-click auto-assign for any parent who hasn't self-booked, in roll-number order.
